Brendan Howard
Partner and Managing Director
Brrendan is a Partner and Managing Director with CIEL Capital, where he has overseen portfolio company strategy and growth since 2016. He leads due diligence for new acquisitions and manages CIEL's investments in Category 5, HFI Pyrotechnics, McRae Imaging, and Pickard Utility Services Group.
Prior to CIEL, Brendan spent nine years as a strategy consultant with Secor Consulting, KPMG Management Consulting, and Aimia-Aeroplan. His work spanned private equity, energy, financial services, manufacturing, construction, consumer goods, retail, and healthcare sectors, focusing on corporate strategy, growth planning, and negotiation strategy.
Brendan holds an M.Sc. in Public Policy and Administration from the London School of Economics (First Class Honours) and an HBA from the Ivey School of Business (with Distinction). He serves as Board Chair for Start 2 Finish, a Canada-wide charity focused on youth health and literacy. He is a competitive triathlete and active Ivey alumnus.
